Founded on 12 January 2026, National Youth Day, the Youth Peace and Development Forum (YPD Forum) is an independent, non-political, non-partisan, and voluntary youth-led organisation dedicated to advancing public policy, sustainable development, leadership, and peacebuilding. Established by Dheeraj GN, the Forum provides a platform for young people, researchers, professionals, and policymakers to contribute meaningfully to India’s development through research, innovation, dialogue, and community engagement.
Though a young institution, YPD Forum has adopted an ambitious and long-term vision centred on evidence-based research, policy innovation, and youth leadership. Its flagship initiatives include the Comprehensive Development Framework Reports for India’s States and Union Territories, Strategic Transformation Framework Reports covering Ministries of the Government of India, Bilateral Cooperation Framework Reports examining India’s international partnerships, and Indian Enterprise Reports focused on industries, businesses, and innovation ecosystems. Through these initiatives, the Forum seeks to generate practical policy recommendations that support inclusive, sustainable, and future-oriented development.
Recognising India’s expanding role in regional and global affairs, YPD Forum promotes constructive dialogue on governance, economic transformation, education, environmental sustainability, technology, international cooperation, and peacebuilding. The Forum works to bridge the gap between academic research, public policy, and grassroots action by encouraging informed youth participation and interdisciplinary collaboration through publications, conferences, internships, training programmes, and public engagement.
At a time of rapid geopolitical, technological, and socio-economic change, YPD Forum is committed to producing credible, research-driven, and solution-oriented policy perspectives that address contemporary national and global challenges. Guided by the principles of independence, integrity, inclusiveness, professionalism, and democratic values, the Forum remains dedicated to strengthening India’s development, empowering the next generation of leaders, and contributing to a more peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world.
