Vishvesh R is an emerging scholar at the University of Delhi and a graduate in Political Science, with academic interests spanning constitutional law, governance, public policy, behavioural economics, international relations, and youth leadership. His work focuses on constitutional governance, democratic institutions, evidence-based policymaking, and meaningful youth participation in public affairs. During his undergraduate studies, Vishvesh served as Vice President of the Gandhi Study Circle and as a Social Media Manager at a state-level youth forum, where he contributed to academic initiatives, public outreach, and civic engagement programmes. He was selected for the Harvard HPAIR Project 2025, co-authored a chapter on Behavioural Economics, contributed to the Sulabh Research Project, and completed certificate courses in Constitutional Law and Administration, Psychology, and Sports Psychology.
His professional and research experience includes serving as a Research Intern at Mentoring in New Dimensions (MIND) and interning in the office of Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA, where he gained practical exposure to governance, public policy, legislative processes, and public administration. He previously served as a Member of the Comprehensive Development Council, contributing to research and development reports concerning the Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand. Vishvesh currently serves as the Director of Programs & Events (DPE) at the Youth Peace and Development (YPD) Forum, where he is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the Forum’s academic programmes, conferences, policy dialogues, workshops, leadership initiatives, training sessions, public discussions, awareness programmes, and other institutional activities. He oversees programme development, scheduling, logistics, participant coordination, event execution, and post-event assessment to ensure that the Forum’s activities are professionally organised and achieve their intended objectives.
In this capacity, Vishvesh works closely with the Forum’s Directors, members, speakers, institutional partners, and other stakeholders to design meaningful and impactful programmes. His role also involves facilitating knowledge exchange, strengthening institutional engagement, expanding opportunities for youth participation, and creating platforms for informed public discourse. Through his work as Director of Programs & Events, Vishvesh contributes to advancing the YPD Forum’s broader mission of promoting research, youth leadership, peacebuilding, sustainable development, democratic participation, institutional collaboration, and informed public discourse.
